What kind of dad is my husband?

He’s the kind of dad who comforts his son after a meltdown.

He’s the kind of dad that gets down on the floor to play with his daughter after a long day at work.

He’s the kind of dad who fixes his son’s toys when they break over and over without complaint.

He’s the dad who watches the same shows on repeat to make his kids happy.

He’s the dad who sings songs at bedtime every night.

He’s the dad who traded playing sports with his son for surgeries and procedures.

The dad that sits with his daughter at 3am after she had another night terror.

The dad who holds his son so he won’t hit his head repeatedly or self injure.

The dad that attends doctor appointments and therapy sessions.

The dad whose patience is tested daily, but still remains calm.

The dad who loves his kids unconditionally.

The dad who believes in his children.

The dad whose morals and values are challenged by society every day.

So what kind of dad is my husband?

He’s the passionate one.

Loving, forgiving, empathetic, understanding, patient, caring, generous, hard working.

He continues to show up day after day no matter how hard it gets. He’s the one who never gives up on his kids.
